Cat is a mapping assistant for the Washington Geological Survey in Olympia, WA. Before starting this position, she worked seasonally in remote areas of the Alaska Range as a mineral exploration geologist where she got dropped off in the field by helicopter and spent her work days hiking in the mountains collecting rock samples. When she’s not geeking out about cool rocks, Cat enjoys biking, rock climbing, cooking, wire wrapping pendants for her friends, and in the winter, loves skiing deep powder!
