Alisa (they/them) is a 5th year doctoral candidate studying igneous petrology at Oregon State University. Their research focuses on examining rocks and minerals erupted from underwater volcanoes at the bottom of the ocean. Not only do these rocks and minerals tell an interested tale of their path to the surface of the ocean, they are also enchanting to observe through the lens of a microscope! Outside of their graduate work, Alisa enjoys hiking, camping, cooking, and playing sports!
