Nora is a Staff Geologist for a geotechnical engineering firm called GRI in Beaverton, Oregon. She grew up in the Seattle area and fell in love with geology after traveling to Mount St. Helens on an 8th grade field trip! Geology has taken her to some fabulous places to do some incredible things, including traveling to Namibia to learn about mineral deposits, working with NASA scientists to study Mars, and leading cave tours at Oregon Caves National Monument. At GRI she strives to help solve problems to make the Portland Area safer in the event of an earthquake.
