I am a constant learner, explorer, and lover of wild things. I am excited about beginning my journey learning and exploring the wilds of Mt. St. Helens. I moved out West from Oklahoma to attend Willamette University in Salem, Oregon eventually earning my Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science. Since then, I have worked for a variety of organizations around the PNW such as the Forest Service, the Opal Creek Ancient Forest Center, and the Oregon Zoo. Most Recently I earned my Master’s of Science from the University of Idaho’s McCall Outdoor Science School in Natural Resource Management with an emphasis in Education. I also have a secondary teaching endorsement in Life Sciences from the University of Idaho. I am passionate about science education and providing the best learning experience for every student. Even when not working, I love being outside hiking during the summer and skiing during the winter. I enjoy expressing myself artistically through pen and watercolor and traveling to new places in-person and through books. I have an adorable dog named Rex that loves to go on long walks and cuddle.
