Marie is a first year master's student studying igneous petrology at Central Washington University. Her research utilizes computational modeling to evaluate the geochemical processes that are operating at Mt. Etna, a volcano in Sicily. Marie is a native Pennsylvanian and earned her B.S. in Geology at Allegheny College in 2016. She is incredibly excited to finally live somewhere with volcanoes in her backyard, and even more excited to share her love of volcanoes with budding scientists! In her spare time, Marie enjoys hiking, cooking, kayaking, and playing volleyball.
