Alyssa is a Landslide Hazards Geologist with the Washington Geologic Survey/WA Department of Natural Resources. She recently moved to Washington and before moving she worked on landslides and other slope stability issues for the US Forest Service in South Dakota and Wyoming. Now she works on finding landslides in lidar images on the computer and then checking them in the field. She's read a lot about volcanos and watched the movie St. Helens more times than she can count when shewas a kid. When she's not busy at work she likes to spend time outdoors mountain biking, rock climbing, and hiking with her dog, Leo.
