A proud native of Clark County, Sarah has been a lover of Mount St. Helens since she was a child. Her fascination with geology and the mountains of the Pacific Northwest is deeply ingrained in her personality and she has become an avid mountaineer, rock climber and backcountry splitboarder. In 2023, Sarah was certified as a Volunteer Climbing Steward with MSHI where she became enthralled with helping people reach the summit. As an Assistant Guide in '24, she’s most excited about seeing the look on peoples’ faces when they reach the summit and gaze into the crater of an active volcano. Sarah also works in the corporate world where she manages an IT Team and has a bachelor’s degree from Washington State University, which includes a certificate in Social and Environmental Justice. Her goal is to someday be able to leave the corporate world and become a full-time outdoor guide. Sarah is very excited to blend her leadership and mountaineering skills to help provide for a safe, inclusive and memorable experience on the mountain for anyone who seeks to enjoy it!
