Abi joined the Mount St. Helens Institute in 2012 as a Science Education Coordinator before becoming Programs Director in 2018. She has an extensive background in science education, field research, and environmental studies working for non-profit organizations, government agencies, and schools. Behind the scenes, Abi uses her wide skill set, natural curiosity, and logic-driven approach to problem-solving to develop youth and adult education programs, manage grants, evaluate programs, and engage with the Institute’s diverse partners.
In her free time, you can find her tending to her large garden, hiking and foraging in the Gifford Pinchot with her energetic dog, Monte, or devouring books about the natural world.
