Rachel is a PNW native, born and raised in Edmonds, WA. In college, she studied Urban Planning and Sustainable development with a minor in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). After non-stop career work she took a break from municipal government in Portland, Maine to return to Washington to work as the MSHI Field Camp Host, where she applies her natural enthusiasm for the outdoors, extensive food service industry experience and culinary talents to create an incredible atmosphere and delicious meals for her guests as they participant in the MSHI Into The Crater Hike. In her spare time, she enjoys biking around the city, cooking and sewing clothing/accessories for friends and family. One day Rachel hopes to become a "trail angel" for hikers on the Pacific Crest Trail.
