Instructor Bios

Dave Ramsey

Dave Ramsey is a geologist with the USGS Cascades Volcano Observatory (CVO) in Vancouver, WA.  He has studied Cascade volcanoes from CVO and the USGS office in Menlo Park, CA for more than 10 years and specializes in using a geographic information system (GIS) for volcano-hazards analysis, visualization, and geologic mapping.  Some of his favorite volcanoes to work on are Crater Lake, Mount Shasta, Medicine Lake, Newberry and Mount St. Helens.
