Reinhardt Böhme and Kate Hobbie

Reinhard Bohme is a native of Germany and a lifelong mushroom hunter.  Past president of the Oregon Mycological Society, he holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from McGill University and worked for many years in product development for forest-products industries.  He is also a skilled photographer with a large collection of mushroom photos.  When Reinhard introduced his wife, Kate Hobbie, to edible wild mushrooms, she too became an avid and knowledgeable forager.  Kate is a professional writer and enthusiastic pianist.  She and Reinhard enjoy camping, hiking, and cooking the mushrooms they collect.
