Foraging for Edible Wild Mushrooms

Come explore the magical kingdom of fungi! Learn how to identify common characteristics of wild edible mushrooms. Then learn how to harvest many different types of edible mushrooms and cook them into delicious dishes. Plan to get your shoes and hands dirty as you discover the forest’s most striking and sometimes delectable offerings.

Make-or-Break Date September 28, 2012
Meeting Time: 10 am
Meeting Place: TBA
Hike Level: Easy
Requirements: Participants should be in good shape and able to hike several miles over rough terrain.
Gear Requirements
Fee: $50 (of which $20 is a tax-deductible contribution to the Institute)
Limit: 12
