Boots & Bow Ties
October 24, 2015 - Vancouver Hilton - 5:30pm to 9:30pm
The Mount St. Helens Institute invites you and your friends to join us in celebrating over 19 years of education, research and stewardship at Mount St. Helens
Friends and businesses who share MSHI’s enthusiasm for the Pacific Northwest’s youngest and most active volcano. The support of individuals and businesses like you make it possible for MSHI to provide hands-on education to students, deliver interpretive talks to visitors, inspire stewardship among outdoor enthusiasts and cultivate a strong sense of community and partnership around Mount St. Helens year after year.
At MSHI, we like to do things differently, and it starts with your attire for the evening ~ a combination of cocktail attire and outdoor gear. Ideas include: mud boots with dresses, suits and snorkels, gowns and gaiters…you get the picture! Consider adding harnesses, helmets, hiking boots, and headlamps to spice up any outfit.

Recent studies show that, on average, today’s youth spend less than 10% of their time outdoors – underscoring the growing disconnect between people and nature and subsequent lack of knowledge about wildlife and ecology. Through our youth education programs, hiking & climbing adventures, and volunteer/stewardship efforts, we will serve over 100,000 children and adults this year.We need your help to continue to provide programming to enrich visitor experiences and inspire future scientists at Mount St. Helens.
